45 years ago, First National Bank of LaGrange and State Bank of Illinois — both Chicago-area banks with long-standing commitments to local, personalized banking — partnered under the management team FNBC of LaGrange, Inc. Two Vibrant Histories — One Bright Future
First National Bank of LaGrange has been a pillar of the Illinois village since the 1920s. The main office still stands at the corner of Burlington and Stone Avenues, across from the historic Stone Avenue train station. State Bank of Illinois stayed busy too, enjoying more than 100 years of serving friends, families, and neighbors near Chicago. Separately, FNBLG and SBI grew from small, local banking institutions, to distinguished financial fixtures serving the people and businesses in their communities.
